Gil is a co-inventor of the original technology licensed from North Carolina State University. He currently leads Cardiac Surgery at Rambam Health Care Campus, Northern Israel’s largest medical center. Gil also serves as Physcient’s VP of Medicine.
Richard is a prominent member of all major associations for cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Feins is especially noted for his contributions to the education of thoracic surgeons, including serving as an annual coordinator for the “Cardiothoracic Surgery Boot Camp”, a 3-day summer session at UNC attracting over 20 teaching faculty and 40 surgery residents. Dr. Feins serves as an uncompensated member of our board.
In addition to leading Duke’s Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Peter is a prominent member of all major associations for cardiothoracic surgery, he holds a joint appointment in Biomedical Engineering and is a member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute. He has also served in leadership roles for the Society for Thoracic Surgery’s National Database and for several large, multi-institutional clinical trials. Dr. Smith serves as an uncompensated member of our board.
